Course Description
Cellebrite Cryptocurrency Investigative Techniques (CCIT) is a three (3) day intermediate level course designed to provide investigators of all skill levels and opportunity to successfully complete cryptocurrency investigations. Attendees will learn to leverage tools and resources to reduce investigation time and improve information yield.
Participants will also learn investigative techniques aligned with a risk-based approach to tracing the source of blockchain funds and de-anonymising cryptocurrency transactions with cryptocurrency forensic tools. Upon successfully completing the course and passing the exam, attendees will earn the CipherTrace Certified Examiner (CTCE) certification.

- Discussing what entities are defined as virtual currencies
- An explanation of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)
- Providing a definition for the word blockchain, as the word correlates to cryptocurrency
- The description of steps needed to complete a virtual currency transaction
- Understanding how cryptocurrency wallets work

- Provide a contrast and comparison of digital currency, virtual currency, and cryptocurrency
- Understand the key characteristics of cryptocurrencies
- Learn what do regulators call cryptocurrency
- Discuss the differences between virtual and Fiat
